sE Electronics V8 – Polished Live Vocals Before EQ

The sE Electronics V8 is a handheld dynamic vocal mic for singers and engineers who want the voice to sit at the front of the mix without a fight. Built on the road-proven V7, it adds the new DMCV8 capsule, a tighter supercardioid pattern and a patented integrated shock mount. At Soundium it is the step up for anyone who already trusts a V7 on stage.

Key Features

• DMCV8 capsule: More clarity and natural detail, with a vocal sound that feels finished before you reach for EQ.
• Tight supercardioid pattern: Keeps the voice isolated and gives more gain before feedback on loud stages.
• Patented integrated shock mount: Cuts handling noise and vibration when the singer moves around.
• All-metal body and spring-steel grille: Resists dents and corrosion, and the beveled ring stops the mic rolling off a flat surface.
• Switchable internal windscreen: Tames plosives and wind noise, with a spare black windscreen if you prefer it to sE Red.
• Gold-plated XLR connector: A secure, low-loss connection from soundcheck to the last encore.

Customer Benefits

The V8 is tuned for live vocals: a crisp, detailed top end, controlled mids and a rounded low end that stays true to the singer's own tone. That means fewer EQ moves at front of house and a voice that cuts through a busy band. The focused pickup keeps monitors and drums out of the vocal channel, while the shock mount and sturdy metal build handle tour after tour. Choose matte Black for a low-key look or Graphite Grey with a fingerprint-resistant finish.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros:

• Open, detailed vocal sound that needs little EQ
• Very good isolation and gain before feedback
• Low handling noise thanks to the integrated shock mount
• Tough all-metal build that will not roll off the monitor

⚠️ Cons:

• No on/off switch, so muting happens at the desk
• Supercardioid pickup rewards consistent mic technique; singers who drift off-axis lose level

If the V7 earned its place in your setup, the V8 brings more detail and a more finished sound in the same road-ready format. Order it from Soundium in matte Black or Graphite Grey, and pair it with the V8 MC1 or MC2 capsule when your wireless system needs the same sound.
