Samson MDA1 – Mono Active Direct Box for Instruments

The Samson MDA1 is a rugged mono active DI designed to deliver clean, balanced audio from guitars, basses, keyboards, and other instruments to mixers and interfaces. With active circuitry, a flat frequency response, and the ability to run on either phantom power or battery, the MDA1 preserves tone, reduces noise, and ensures reliable performance on stage or in the studio.

Key Features

  • Active circuitry: Maintains a flat frequency response and preserves high-end clarity, ideal for passive pickups and high-impedance sources.
  • Balanced XLR output: Provides a clean, low-noise signal for long cable runs.
  • -15 dB pad: Handles hot instruments and high-output devices without distortion.
  • Thru output: Send your instrument signal to an amp or monitor while sending a clean DI feed to FOH or recording.
  • Roadworthy steel chassis: 14-gauge metal enclosure protects internal components for reliable touring use.

Customer Benefits

The MDA1 ensures your instrument’s tone stays clear and consistent in any environment. Whether you’re connecting to a live console, recording interface, or stagebox, it delivers noise-free, balanced output while allowing simultaneous amp monitoring via the Thru jack.
