ATH-M50x + FiiO K11 – The Desk Setup Most People Start With

The ATH-M50x is the closed-back headphone our customers buy most, and the K11 gives it a clean, powerful source instead of a laptop jack. Two products, one USB-C cable to the computer, one order.

In This Setup

  • Audio-Technica ATH-M50x – 45 mm drivers, sealed closed-back cups, 90-degree swivel for one-ear monitoring, three detachable cables and a foldable build.
  • FiiO K11 – desktop DAC/amp with CS43198 DAC, up to 1.4 W balanced into 32 ohm, USB-C, optical and coax in, 4.4 mm, 6.35 mm and RCA out.

Why This Combination

  • Better than the laptop jack: the K11 decodes and drives the M50x with headroom to spare.
  • Digital inputs: optical and coax also connect a TV or console.
